Southern Virginia

So far Virginia has been a beautiful state. We've had awesome weather with very little rain. While this has been awesome for hiking in the water sources has been running a little low in places but there is still enough water to filter. I traveled through the Grayson Highlands State park and had some of the most amazin views I've seen on the trail so far. The highlands also had wild ponies which was so awesome to see. As of now the Grayson Highlands are closed due to an aggressive bear so I'm happy that I was still able to cross through. I stayed the last night in a hostel called Angel's Hiker Rest which has been an awesome place to stay. We did the hippie thing last night and drank beer around someone playing a guitar and will hit the trail and some point today. I can't believe that I'm over 1/4 of the way done with the trail. Luckily that means I still have over 1,500 miles left to go!
